Charlie Spencer 2023
Charlie Spencer

President and CEO

Mr. Spencer has over 35 years of management experience in the facility service industry.

One of the founders of HES Facilities, LLC in 2020, he was immediately named the CEO and President. In November 2020, HES acquired Clean-Tech and its long history of exceptional service to be the platform for commercial and industrial services nationwide.

Prior leadership positions include 12 years of executive-level management with GCA Services Group/ABM, where he led various aspects of sales and operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President at ESS, where he had a significant role in M&A activity, forecasting, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies for this substitute teacher and paraprofessional industry-leading company.

Charlie resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is a 1986 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

David Makar 2021
Dave Makar

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Makar has a CPA and several years of experience in the financial management area. Prior management positions include over five years with a national industry leader in facilities services, where he led many aspects of the finance organization.

David graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting.

Jonathan Campbell 2021
JONATHAN CAMPBELL

Executive Strategic Advisor

Jonathan Campbell carries a strong personal commitment to service excellence and creating platforms where our ladies and gentlemen are valued and empowered. 

His strategic vision focuses on constantly adding value for the customers we serve and growing the business in a controlled manner with selected institutions that share common values and desire a true collaborative partnership.

Prior to his current role, Jonathan worked with Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for 14 years. He became the youngest General Manager in the company’s history and won the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award in 1992 and 1999.

Jonathan is a graduate of Huddersfield University, earning a Bachelor of Science with Honors. He represented the US National Rugby Team from 1994 to 1997, including participation in the Rugby World Cup.

John Pieske 2023
JOHN PIESKE

Executive Strategic Advisor

Mr. Pieske began his career in the building & facility services Industry in 1991. He has over 33 years of experience serving clients with an emphasis in public K-12 school districts throughout the midwest and southeast. He has served in multiple executive positions, including VP of Sales and COO. Mr. Pieske was an owner and the President/CEO of ABBCO Service Corp. from 2000-2023. ABBCO Service completed a merger with HES/Clean-Tech in May of 2023. Mr. Pieske now serves as an Executive Strategic Advisor.

John is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.A. in
Communication & Management. He has served on the board of the Assoc. of Contract Cleaners St. Louis for 25 years with knowledge in collective bargaining agreement negotiation. John served 10 years on the Board of Trustees of The Missouri Retailers Worker’s Comp. Insurance Trust. He has also maintained professional industry memberships with the Intl. Facility Management Assoc., Intl. Sanitary Supply Assoc., MOASBO, ILASBO, and the Building Service Contractor Assoc. Intl.

In his free time, John is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling, fishing, and skiing with his family.

CHRIS LINDNER

Senior Vice President

Mr. Lindner brings over 25 years of experience in Business to Business and Facilities Management.  Chris has held Senior Management Operations positions managing large teams regionally, nationally, and globally.  He has also had responsibilities for new Business Development as well. Chris has found success by leading with a focus on Operational Collaboration, Employee Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, Succession Planning, and Employee Development.

Prior to his role as Senior Vice President, Chris held multiple roles with several large property management companies.  The most recent was with CBRE as Global Alliance Director, managing properties on a global scale.  Before CBRE, Chris worked for ABM as a Director managing clients on a national level.

Chris is a graduate of The College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics.  Chris resides in Cleveland Ohio with his 13-year-old son.  In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, water sports, amusement parks, basketball, and fishing.

Billy Murphy

Vice President

Billy Murphy has over 30 years of experience in the facilities management industry and has held executive leadership positions with national facility service companies for the last 15 years.

His strengths in building strong operational teams, as well as years of executive experience in sales, have helped to build national recognition with companies across the country.

Billy is a strong business development professional with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics from Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, TN. He has successfully built his career by focusing on employee development, customer satisfaction, and meeting company goals and standards.

Billy has strengthened his management skills with certifications such as Registered Building Service Manager (RBSM), as well as dual certifications with BOMI to include Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) and Real Estate & Property Administrator (RPA).

Willie Marchbanks 2021
Willie Marchbanks Jr.

Regional Vice President, Missouri Region

Mr. Marchbanks has been with Clean-Tech for over 20 years, with over 25 years of experience in the building services management industry. Before starting his career in the building services management industry, he worked and trained others in the automotive industry in logistical management.

Willie has extensive experience in project and operations management; he excels in overseeing the management and operations of government, commercial office, medical and industrial facilities.

Willie’s guidance and leadership are key to successful job starts during the transition phase, ensuring you have chosen the right company. During his career in our industry, he has worked in the development of our team members, inspiring and training many to senior management level careers. He was nominated for Vendor of the Year in 2017 through IREM (International Real Estate Management) by one of Clean-Tech’s customers. Willie also lead the team that developed our Pathways to Success program.

Bryan Jolley 2021
BRYAN JOLLEY

Vice President of Facilities, Operations & Maintenance

As Vice President of Facilities, Operations & Maintenance, Bryan is responsible for facility maintenance and operations across the country.

His expertise includes training, workflow and operational systems design, safety, energy management and equipment utilization.

Bryan is a trusted and seasoned operations and facilities leader with more than 20 years professional industry experience. He holds the Educational Facility Professional (EFP) and the Facility Management Professional (FMP) designations.

Bryan is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Facility and Property Management and an MBA from Baylor University.

Billy Pipp 2021
BILLY PIPP

Vice President, Grounds Management

Mr. Billy Pipp brings to Clean-Tech over 20 years of grounds and landscaping experience, including working in Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, and NCAA Division I Athletics. He has also been directly involved with supporting grounds operations nationwide at several K-12 and Higher Learning Institutions both public and private.

Billy is a Certified Sports Field Manager, Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional, certified by the Accredited Snow Contractors Association and holds several professional licenses.

Mr. Pipp graduated from the University of Missouri in 2008 with a BS in Plant Sciences and currently sits on the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Board of Associates (Richmond VA) and is a Chesterfield County (VA) Parks and Recreation Commissioner.

RYAN THOMSON

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Ryan brings over 20 years of business development experience to the team, with many of those years spent in facility services. He has demonstrated expertise in bringing value-added solutions to customers from a wide variety of industries.

Ryan enjoys working with clients to build integrated facility management programs that improve conditions while maintaining budgetary demands.

Ryan is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with key clients through leadership, strategic planning, and execution of client-specific strategies, and implementing operational plans to align with clients’ needs and objectives.

Senior Sales Director

Mr. Denholm has served in the Regional Operations role since 2019 before transitioning to the Clean-Tech business development team.

Todd came to Clean-Tech with over 20 years of operational experience throughout different industries, including experience with account management, client relationship management, organizational leadership, and employee training and development.

Ricardo Moreno 2021
RICARDO MORENO

Vice President of Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources, Ricardo Moreno is responsible for oversight and promulgation of Clean-Tech’s culture, mission, and values, as well as talent acquisition and compliance.

Our goal is to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that fulfills and engages our team members.

Ricardo has held human resources leadership roles for more than 25 years in a variety of service-related industries. These varied leadership experiences with organizations like Hyatt Hotels, Sea World/Busch, United Healthcare, and others provide considerable depth to draw upon for the achievement of Clean-Tech’s goals.

Ricardo is a native of Bogota, Colombia, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from El Centro Nacional de Hoteleria.

Cheryl Stelter 10112021
CHERYL STELTER

Director of Safety & Risk Management

Cheryl Stelter has worked in manufacturing in both quality and EHS for over 25 years. She has extensive experience with industrial safety, worker’s compensation, and design and delivery of OSHA training topics. Her focus is on illness and injury prevention in the workplace as well as at home, and focuses on partnering with team members to identify hazards and risks, and the means to eliminate them or safely work around them. Cheryl has completed OSHA-30 hour training and continues to stay updated on specific safety and regulatory issues and concerns.

Clean-Tech’s customized training and education materials center around proactive awareness and reinforcing behavioral habits. From key control and building access to indoor air quality and cleaning for health, Cheryl’s role supports enhancing the campus working environment.

Our team views itself as an extension to our customers’ safety and emergency plans and understands the importance of the role our team members play in maintaining and supporting these plans.

Rose Henzel 2023
ROSE HENZEL

Director of Recruiting

Ms. Henzel is a results-oriented talent acquisition professional with 20-plus years of industry experience in executive recruitment of management, sales, marketing, IT, human resources, and corporate positions.

She is experienced in partnering with hiring managers, regional managers, regional sales managers, corporate leaders, and executive management to put the right person in the right job.

Rose has a BS degree in psychology and biology from the University of Missouri Columbia, and a master’s degree in human resources management from Webster University.

Katie Powell 2021
KATIE POWELL

Director of Marketing

Ms. Powell brings 14 years of marketing strategy and business development support experience to Clean-Tech.

She started in the education facilities services industry as a proposal coordinator for a national facility services company, and prior to joining the Clean-Tech team, managed a sales support and events department for a publicly traded Fortune 500 international facility services company.

She has broad industry experience, specializing in marketing strategy, proposal production, and event planning in supporting Clean-Tech’s regional operations and national business development teams.

Ms. Powell has a Bachelor of Science in communications from the University of Tennessee. She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband.

KENDRA CAMERON

Treasurer

Ms. Cameron has an MBA and over 25 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and business intelligence.

Prior management positions include senior finance roles with Fortune 500 companies such as Travelers and Marsh & McLennan.

Kendra graduated cum laude from North Central College with a bachelor’s in Accounting and received her EMBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

JIM JOLLY

Director of Accounting

Mr. Jolly has over 25 years of accounting experience.

Jim began his facilities career at ABBCO Service Corporation as Controller. Prior experience includes leadership roles in public and private companies in the manufacturing industry.

His hands-on approach to management allows him to foster high-performance teamwork and adapt to challenging situations with a collaborative approach, high integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University.
